At the 1995 West Coast Steel Guitar Show

Bud Tutmarc

Hawaiian steel guitarist Bud Tutmarc was selling his cassettes and CDs. They are mostly easy listening and Christian music. I picked up a couple of them, Sentimental Lovesongs and Sentimental Lovesongs, Volume 2 , which are recorded with full orchestral accompaniment.

I talked to Bud for a while, and he gave me his tuning. It's a 7-string lap steel tuning:

    C#
    G#
    E
    B
    E
    E

Bud deliberately doubles the low E bass note.
